Fandom Hourglass' first official cosplay group outing at AyaCon '09. We are expecting to do a much better located shoot for this, so I'm really excited about getting new photos!!! :la:

Unfortunately, I only saw the colour illustration of Doll after I passed the half-way point with making this cosplay, so please excuse the abundance of pink - I know she should be white ^^;

I don't know, I actually like the touch of pink. It really adds to the look. =)

Say did you do the stocking's yourself? I'm wanting to do a Doll cosplay as well but that's the only thing that's kinda intemidating me. I wouldn't know how make those or where look for them!

can i ask how you did the skirt?? like, how you got it to be so lovely and poofy like that :heart:

Of course you can~! Haha, it was a bit of a trial-and-error thing - I'd never made anything like this before, so I was kind've making it up as I went along XD;; - but I made two hoops (one inner, one outer) out of corset boning, and sewed them onto the underside of a tutu made out of fairly heavy-duty netting. This meant that the tutu provided a good, padded base for the skirt, but that the hoops kept it spread out in circle and able to bear the weight of the fabric and flowers that went over the top.
Probably the only other important thing to note was that the roses I used were made out of very light-weight foam; this meant that the load resting on the tutu was kept as light as possible so that the skirt didn't droop. We don't like droopy skirts in these here parts! D<

At any rate, I hope that helps! D: I'm absolutely rubbish at explaining - hopefully something in there made sense XDD;; I had a look at your cosplays, by the way - your Meirin is so cute! :heart: I don't think I've seen her cosplayed that much over here - it's all Sebastians and Ciels D:

Haha - thank you! I loved the stockings and the garters and pantaloons so much - I literally just ran around wearing those and the corset for most of the morning because they were so much fun XDD So over the top and silly and full of frilly Victorian goodness!
